Telefilm announces details on the Export Assistance Program

Telefilm Canada would like to inform its clients of the opening date of the Export Assistance Program, as well as the changes made to it during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Key dates: 

• Opening date: May 19, 2021 
• Closing date: February 25, 2022, subject to availability of funds 

In keeping with the Government of Canada’s Travel Advice and Advisories, urging all Canadians to avoid non-essential travel, Telefilm has amended the Program’s guidelines to exclude travel expenses from eligible costs. 

Telefilm unequivocally recommends to applicants that any travel outside of Canada during the COVID-19 pandemic period must comply with any advice or directive issued by the Government of Canada, including the advice as of today’s date to avoid all non-essential travel outside of Canada.
