Telefilm Canada highlights Canadian audiovisual industry’s expertise and craftsmanship at Frankfurt Book Fair
Montreal, October 21, 2021 – Telefilm Canada is proud to be a part of the celebration of Canada as the Guest of Honour at the prestigious 2021 Frankfurt Book Fair. Telefilm is responsible for the audiovisual portion of the cultural programming, in partnership with Canadian Heritage, the Canada Council for the Arts, Global Affairs Canada and Canada FBM2021. Canadian arts and culture are being showcased in cities across Germany as Canada celebrates its presence as Guest of Honour. The National Film Board of Canada also participated in the promotion of Canadian creativity by contributing to the programming.
“Canada’s presence as Guest of Honour is a distinction that raises the profile of Canada’s cultural industries far beyond literature,” said Christa Dickenson, Executive Director and CEO of Telefilm Canada. “This is an incredible opportunity to promote the discovery of Canadian works and increase business opportunities for our industry.”
Audiovisual programming highlights

The program is produced with the participation of Telefilm Canada and is a coproduction of the CFC Media Lab and the Immersive Storytelling Lab at York University, in partnership with The Griffin Trust For Excellence In Poetry and with the support of OCAD University.
