Telefilm Canada launches its new corporate plan

A message from the Chair of the Board and the Executive Director

Dear industry colleagues and friends:

We are pleased to launch Telefilm’s new corporate plan, entitled Fostering Cultural Success. This new plan, which focuses on stimulating demand for Canadian content, marks an important shift for the organization.

Over the next few years, Telefilm will put into practice a series of concrete initiatives based on the following four strategic pillars:

  1. Maintain and expand our core role as funder;
  2. Develop our role as promoter;
  3. Provide thought leadership by developing and sharing industry intelligence; and
  4. Reinforce Telefilm’s organizational excellence.

Within the context of this shift, Telefilm will continue its discussions with the industry in order to develop a new, more expansive tool to measure success, one that will take into account a project’s commercial, cultural and industrial value.

Telefilm would like to thank all industry members who contributed to this plan during the Canada-wide consultations held over the last several months.
