Telefilm Canada launches pan-Canadian consultation on Success Index
September 18, 2020 – As announced at the beginning of the year, Telefilm Canada is revising the Success Index, first introduced in 2010. To this end, pan-Canadian, inclusive, transparent and open consultations will be held. Telefilm’s goal is to ensure that our financing programs are adapted to the multiple transformations taking place in the audiovisual world; that the values of diversity, gender equality, and inclusion are reflected in the films we help to fund; and that we support the careers of a wide range of creators.
The consultations will focus on the Success Index, Development and the Talent to Watch programs. Today Telefilm is launching the first phase of these consultations—three online surveys aimed at members of the film industry.
We therefore invite you to complete these surveys by no later than Sunday, September 27, at 11:59 pm.
Talent to Watch: this survey is designed specifically for former program participants.
Development Program: this survey is for everyone.
Success Index: this survey is for everyone.
The next steps in the pan-Canadian consultation are:
- Virtual discussion groups open to all in October
- Work sessions with members of existing working groups on gender, diversity and inclusion, and Indigenous issues
- Call for written submissions open to all, in November
Full details of these consultations can be found here.
