Telefilm Canada opens the Theatrical Distribution Compensation Program for fiscal year 2022-2023 

Telefilm Canada announces the opening of the Theatrical Distribution Compensation Program for fiscal year 2022-2023. This program is designed to support Canadian distribution companies whose business activities have been affected by the pandemic, which has impacted their revenues and consequently their financial capacity.

The Canadian Arts and Culture Recovery Program (CACRP) is designed to assist Canadian arts, culture and heritage organizations that have suffered revenue losses due to venue capacity limitations and public fears of returning to see performances as a result of COVID-19.  

Through the Theatrical Distribution Compensation Program, Telefilm will distribute a portion of the CACRP funds to assist Canadian distribution companies whose business operations have been affected by the public health advisories requiring theatre closures or a reduced capacity.
