Telefilm Canada re-launches the Theatrical Exhibition Program for 2023-2024 fiscal year 

Telefilm Canada announces key dates for the Theatrical Exhibition Program, as well as changes made to the Program for fiscal 2023-2024. This Program aims to support the exhibition of Canadian films in theatres across Canada. 

Key dates: 

• Opening date: October 23, 2023 

• Closing date: November 6, 2023 

Important Changes  

• To be eligible, theatres will have to have shown a minimum of two Canadian feature films between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2022 and be committed to showing at least four Canadian feature films in the coming year.  
• Telefilm’s financial participation will be calculated on the number of Canadian feature films shown by theatres between January 1 and December 31, 2022. The amount of funding granted could be as high as $5,000 per theatre, and a total financial participation of up to $10,000 per corporate group.
