Telefilm Canada reopens the Export Assistance Program

Telefilm Canada wishes to inform its clients of the reopening dates of the Export Assistance Program for fiscal year 2023-2024, as well as an important change made to the program.

Key dates:

• Opening date: April 17, 2023
• Closing date: February 23, 2024, subject to availability of funds

Important change:

• Increased flexibility in funding to cover eligible costs related to the marketing campaign in the target territories and travel by Canadian members of the project’s production team.

The Export Assistance Program provides financial support to distribution companies that have acquired exploitation rights of eligible Canadian feature films in foreign territories.
