Telefilm Canada supports 31 film festivals in the first intake of the General Admission Festivals Program 

Telefilm Canada is supporting 31 film festivals that have start dates between October 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024, under the General Admission Festivals Program, for a total amount of $310,000.  

Telefilm received a total of 44 eligible applications in the first intake. The second intake of this program will be open for applications from October 30, 2023 to November 3, 2023  

The General Admission Festivals Program provides streamlined funding to small and/or emerging film festivals that are aimed at the general public.  

Please note that the Reopening Funds have now expired and are no longer available as additional support for festivals. The Open Access Stream is also no longer available.
