MIPCOM is largest event in the world for the co-production, purchasing, sales, financing and distribution of multiplatform entertainment content. The market also organizes a conference for decision-makers in the television, film, digital content, audiovisual, production and distribution industry, as well as a networking forum where participants can learn about future trends and negotiate the purchase and sale of international rights.
The MIPTV market specializes in television programs and is internationally renowned for the number and diversity of its participants, who come from around the world. It is a major market for the sale and purchasing of broadcasting rights, co-productions, financing, partnerships, consolidation of companies, transborder investment and trend forecasting, and this is true as much in terms of programming as it is for companies seeking to carve out a place for themselves in an increasingly globalized trading environment.
Canada is the fifth-largest country represented at both MIPTV and MIPCOM in terms of the number of participants, behind Great Britain, the United States, France and Germany. Under the Canada Pavilion umbrella, Telefilm Canada, its partners and sponsors offer a wide selection of attractively priced services.
