Sustainability Plan required for applicants selected for all production funding programs

A Sustainability Plan is now required from partners of all production funding programs prior to principal photography.  An easy-to-use Sustainability Plan template is now available on our website to help partners with this requirement.  

Telefilm champions the implementation of sustainable production practices across the Canadian screen industry as part of our Eco-responsibility Action Plan.  

The Sustainability Plan template, which complements the updated production budget model, is designed to encourage production teams to think about their potential environmental impacts, raise awareness of issues and solutions, and empower productions to implement best practices. Submitted Sustainability Plans do not factor into a project’s assessment, but the data will be used to better understand current best practices and challenges.
