TELEFILM CANADA ANNOUNCES NEW APPOINTMENT FOR ONTARIO & NUNAVUT REGIONS

Toronto – May 13, 2009 – Telefilm is delighted to announce that Agnes Zak has been appointed Regional Director of Business Development – Ontario & Nunavut Regions. Ms. Zak had been serving as Interim Regional Director following the launch of the new Operations structure in October 2008, in addition to serving as Regional Director, New Media for the Ontario & Nunavut regions.

Agnes Zak will now report to Sheila de la Varende who was recently appointed to the position of Director, National and International Business Development.

Agnes has been working at Telefilm since 2002, starting her career here as a new media analyst, new media and television analyst and feature-film analyst before being appointed Senior Investment Analyst, New Media. In 2005, she became Manager, New Media, for the Ontario & Nunavut regions. Agnes has a solid reputation in the world of new media and is transitioning her unique skill set to oversee business development opportunities as they arise in the Ontario & Nunavut regions.

Developing and promoting the Canadian audiovisual industry
