Telefilm Canada launches the Theatrical Documentary Program

Telefilm Canada would like to inform applicants that the updated guidelines are available on the Theatrical Documentary Program webpage along with important dates of note.Telefilm seeks to support theatrical documentary films that will speak to Canadian and international audiences primarily through theatrical releases, and that will bring both cultural impact and audience engagement while contributing to the Canadian cultural legacy.

Key dates:

Opening date (English and French markets): March 21, 2022
Closing date (English and French markets): April 4, 2022

The Indigenous Stream of this program opens at the same time as the Indigenous Stream of the Production Program (February 7, 2022; closing February 21, 2022). Applicants who wish to submit their projects under this Stream must contact Telefilm prior to submitting their application through Dialogue.
