Telefilm Canada reopens the General Admission and the Open Access Streams of the Promotion Program 

Telefilm Canada announces the reopening of the General Admission Stream and the Open Access Stream–Reopening Fund of the National Promotion Program. 

Key dates 

• The General Admission Stream will reopen from January 16, 2023 to January 20, 2023, for festivals with start dates between April 1, 2023, and September 30, 2023.
• The Open Access Stream – Reopening Fund will reopen from January 30, 2023 to February 9, 2023, for festivals with start dates between April 1, 2023, and June 30, 2023. 

General Admission Stream 

The General Admission Stream provides streamlined funding to small and/or emerging film festivals that are aimed at the general public. All applications for the General Admission Stream must be submitted online via Dialogue. 

Open Access Stream – Reopening Fund  

The Open Access Stream – Reopening Fund offers access to the Reopening Fund to Canadian festivals that did not receive Telefilm funding support through the Limited Edition and General Admission streams of the Promotion Program. Festivals that are refused funding through the General Admission Stream are automatically considered, in priority, on a first-come first-serve basis, for access to funding under the Open Access Stream, provided they meet all eligibility criteria.  

Applications for the Open Access Stream– Reopening Fund must be submitted via email to promotion@telefilm.ca. Please ensure that all documents (application form including direct deposit information, attestation and void cheque) are provided in the email.
