Telefilm launches virtual townhalls forums as part of Success Index consultations

September 29, 2020 – As recently announced, Telefilm Canada is launching the virtual townhalls to review its Success Index. These townhalls, which will take place over the next few weeks, are the second phase of the pan-Canadian consultations, the first of which was to seek the views of industry members through opinion surveys. Like the consultations, these virtual townhalls will be open to all, inclusive, transparent, and will be conducted in both Official Languages. At the beginning of the year, Telefilm announced the revision of its Success Index, which was implemented in 2010. Telefilm’s goal is to ensure that our financing programs are adapted to the multiple transformations taking place in the audiovisual industry, as well as that the values of diversity, gender equality, and inclusion are reflected in the films we help to fund, and that we support the careers of a wide range of creators. The consultations will focus on the Success Index, the Development Program, and the Talent to Watch Program.
